For wonderful Football Birthday Invitations, please visit Little Ladybug Designs

Ideas on how to Decorate for your Football Party:

There are many versions on what you can use as your color themes for your football party, you can use your pro football, college, school, or make up our own family team colors. So look to your favorite football team for your color inspiration.

You can purchase a green plastic tablecloth, for your teams football field. Purchase your plates, utensils, napkins, cups, balloons, and streamers all in your favorite football teams colors.

A Touchdown Centerpiece:

Materials Needed:
1 Nerf Football, in your teams colors
2 Pompoms, in your teams colors
1 Sports Whistle
1 Sports Cone, in your teams colors

Putting together your Touchdown Centerpiece:

First taking the two pompoms and placing them in the center of your party table with the handles facing out, making sure the stream end is all fanned out. Now, place the sports cone in the center of the two pompoms, and drape the sports whistle over the top of the cone. Next, lean the football up against the cone, and your touchdown centerpiece is all finished.

Menu Ideas:

Make a Touchdown Cake:

Ingredients you will need:
1 Cake Mix
1 Tub of Vanilla Frosting
Green Food Coloring
1 White Icing decorating frosting tube
2 Decorating Frosting tubes in your teams colors
Decorating Tips for the Frosting Tubes
Football Cake Decorations (will have goal post, and players in it)

First, make the cake according to the instructions on the package. Let the cake cool completely before moving on to the next step. For the football field, part of the touchdown cake, adding a few drops of green food coloring, to the vanilla frosting, mixing well. Spread the green frosting over the entire cake.

Next, place the writing tip, on to the tube of white frosting. With the white frosting, make a line down the center of the cake, this is your 50 yard line. Place two more lines, at both ends of the cake, these will be your end zones, these will be filled in later. Make two more lines in between the end zones and the 50 yard line.

Now wash out your writing tip, and dry it completely. Place this tip on one of the colored frosting tubes, and fill in one of the end zones on your touchdown cake. Do the same with the other end zone using the other frosting color. Wash out the writing tip once more, and place it on the white frosting tube, and write the name of your child in one of the end zones, and his birthday date in the other one.

Next, taking the football cake decorations, and placing the goal post at the ends of the field, and placing the players in play formations. You have just finished your touchdown cake.

Here are some ideas on what to serve with your cake, pretzels, peanuts, and popcorn, would all be great choices to add to your concession stand of party treats.

Drinks: You can serve Root Beer floats, by taking a scoop vanilla ice cream and putting it into the party cups, and pouring a little Root Beer over the top of the ice cream you will have a great foamy treat.

For your football party activity, let's play the football toss game:

Materials you will need:

1 Large Piece of Plywood
Jigsaw
Small Football
Marker
Green Spray Paint
Paint (choose three colors from your team)
Paint Brushes
Small Chalk Board or Notebook

To get started you will need, using the marker to draw three circles, making sure the small football with go through he holes, at three different heights, on the piece of plywood, and carefully cut these out with the jigsaw. Now take the spray paint, and paint the entire piece of plywood, letting it dry completely, before moving on to the next step.

Now pick one of the three paint colors, and paint around the highest circle. Now with your marker write the word touchdown and give it 50 points. For the circle paint it with the second color, with the marker write the words first down, and give it 10 points. Now for the last circle paint it with the third color, with the marker write the words fourth down and give it 5 points. Place your finished touchdown game, in your party room, or outside.

Now that you are done making your touchdown game board, let's play the game. You need to have your guest sand a few feet away from the game board. You will need a notebook or chalk board, to keep a total of all the points. Now, have each of the players throw the small football, at the game board, to see if they can throw the ball through the circles to make a touchdown. To win the game, one of the players has to either throw, the football through, the circle marked touchdown, or get the highest points total, to win the game.

How-to do a Jungle Themed Party

by Marla Ellis

You can use the Jungle theme for a baby shower, or a neural birthday party. With a little bit of citrus yellow's, green's and some tropical blues, purple, and a little pink, you can have a wild of a party.

Check out these Jungle Birthday Invitations

Your Wild Jungle Decorations:
You can purchase a green plastic tablecloth, a black permanent marker, and using the table top as your guide, draw the shape of some tall grass. To do this go from the the bottom of the tablecloth to the top, and draw a few grass stems the go over the top. These are suppose to look free formed so don't worry on if you can't draw it will be just fine, the more wiggly your grass shapes are the better they will look.
While shopping for your tablecloth, look for items that have wild animals on them, like paper plates, cups, and silverware. The ones the look like the animals with the little ears will work just fine for this party.

For your Jungle Party Centerpiece you will need:

Craft Sand (green and neutral colors)
Plastic Tray
An Assortment of plastic Jungle animals, and trees.
Blue Card Stock

Place your plastic tray in the center of the party table, pour the neutral sand around the inside of the tray leaving the center of the tray empty, then pour the green sand in the middle over lapping the neutral sand in a few places. Cut out a small pond shaped circle out of the blue card stock and place this off to one side of your tray, over lapping both of the neutral and green sands, this is your watering hole. Next arrange the jungle animals and trees in a fun manner.

Your Jungle Menu:

To create a Zebra Cake you will need:

White and Chocolate cake mixes
White and Chocolate Icing
9x13 inch cake pan
Knife or Toothpicks

You can serve a Zebra cake, all you need to do is, get a white and chocolate cake mixes. Mix each up according to the directions, poor the white cake mix in a 9x13 inch cake pan, then with a spoon taking the chocolate cake mix, make even lines on top of the white. Take a tooth pick or butter knife, run it through the chocolate and the white marbling the mixtures. Do not over=2 0mix or you will lose the effect. Bake the cake according to the directions, and let cool. If you have any of the chocolate cake mix left over make small cupcakes. Once the cake has cooled using white icing frost the cake, then taking the chocolate icing and drizzle on the top, to make the zebra strips. Do the opposite to the chocolate cupcakes, to make a backward zebra.

You can also serve with your zebra cake some animal crackers, peanuts, banana's, mango's, pineapple slices, just think of what the animals would eat in the wild jungle. For the drinks you can serve strawberry and banana milk shakes or smoothies, tropical punch, or a fruit sorbet punch.

Your Jungle Activity:

You can play pin the nose on the elephant, and here is how to make your your elephant head and nose.

Materials you will need:

Poster Board
Crayon in Gray and Black (make sure the Grey is a big crayon)
Large Cork Board
Thumb Tacks
Tape or Velcro
Dinner Plate
Scissors
Laminate (Optional)

First taking the poster board, using the dinner plate as your template, to draw a large circle tracing around the plate, this will be your elephants head. Now draw two large elephant style ears on each side of the head. Draw two large eyes about center of the head with the black crayon, coloring them both in. With the large gray crayon color in the head and ears. Next cut the head and ears out of the poster board. Now using the remainder of the poster board, draw an elephants trunk shape, color this with the large gray crayon, and cut out. If you could laminate these pieces to make them stronger so you can use tape as instead of a thumb tack. Now using some small thumb tacks place your elephant head on the large cork board. Then find the prefect place in your party room to hang your pin the elephant's nose to it's head game. Don't forget to buy plenty of Jungle themes party favors for the winners of this game.

Ideas for a Beach Themed Party

by Marla Ellis

Here is how to put together a beach themed party, this theme can be used as a girls/boys birthday, pool, a cute summer bridal or baby shower theme.

Your Invitations:

For your Beach Birthday Party Invitations, please visit Kim at Little Ladybug Designs

Beach Party Decorations:

For wonderful decorations ideas look down your pool toy aisle, at your local discount or pool supply store. You will find wonderful primary colors, in red, blue, green, and yellow, these are prefect for a little boys birthday, or a pool beach themed party. Some times you can also find pool accessories in pastel colors, of purple, yellow, green, and blue, these would be great for a little girls birthday, bridal or a baby shower beach themed party.

While we are in the pool accessories aisle, pick up your party decorations,

Beach Balls and Floating toys, are great for putting in your pool, or if you don't have a pool, throw them on the ground right where they fall.
If you have a small wading pool, you can fill this with ice to keep your party drinks cool, or fill it with water and throw your beach balls in there. Just remember to always watch the children when you are around water.
Use sand colored plastic tablecloths, on your party tables, this will help give you the sandy island feeling.
You can purchase plates, cups, and napkins, that either have a sandy beach look to them, or in the different colors of the beach ball, ex your cups can be in the red color, napkins in the green color, plates can be in the yellow colors, and the white can be the forks, and spoons.
Use plastic beach pails for holding your forks, and spoons.

Beach Themed Center Piece Idea:

Here is what you can do for a fun center piece for your beach themed party. You can purchase some craft sand, sea shells, coral pieces, small bucket with shovel, a small plastic tub boat, and a plastic tray. In the center of the party table , place the plastic tray, fill this with the craft sand, place the small plastic boat leaning to one side. Now place the sea shells, coral, bucket and shovel around the boat in the sand. This is suppose to look like a recked ship at the bottom of the sea, so let you imagination run wild. When the party is over keep these pieces to use for an under the sea , or pirate type of party. If you are doing a beach themed bridal shower add little wedding rings, champagne glasses, to the sand. If you are doing a beach themed baby shower add these items to the sand, little baby bottles, rattles, and pacifiers. Most of these items can be found in your cake decorating aisle at your craft or discount stores.

Beach Party Menu Ideas:

Use fresh fruit, like Pineapple, Mango, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, cut in to chunks, Oranges, Apples cut into wedges, Kiwi, Bananas, cut into thick slices, and also Strawberries leave these whole. Place each of these fruits, in decorative bowls, line them up on the table for a fresh fruit bar.
You can also take these fruits and make fruit Ka-Bobs, by taking a bamboo skewer, and layering the fruit like this, one pineapple chunk, orange wedge, kiwi, and top it with a strawberry.
For the cake, you can use a lemon flavored cake, with white icing.
For the drinks, for a beach themed party you can serve, a tropical punch slushes, and fruit smoothies.

Beach Party Activities:

Here is a fun beach themed activity, all of these supplies can be found either at your craft or in the craft aisle at your discount store.
We will be making a Sand Art Buddy, here are the materials needed.
(purchase enough supplies for everyone doing the craft)
A Small verity of plastic bottles with cork stoppers
Craft Sand in at least three different colors
Small bowls ( for each color of sand used)
Small plastic funnel ( that will fit into the opening of the small plastic bottle)
Small plastic spoons
Google eyes
Fuzzy felt (looks like fur), cut this into strips, long enough to go around the top of the bottle
School Glue or Hot Glue (children should not use the hot glue, it is way to hot, a parent should do this step)
Here is what you will be doing, Line the center of the table with the bowls of colored sand, and give each child a plastic bottle with a cork stopper, small funnel, two Google eyes, strip of fuzzy felt, and a plastic spoon. Now have each child take their plastic bottle, and pick their first color of sand. Using their plastic spoon and the little funnel, pour the sand into the bottle, pick another color and repeat, doing this for each color of sand and until the bottle is full, leaving plenty of room of the cork stopper to be replaced. Now you can take a small toothpick or bamboo skewer, and run it through the sand down the front and back of the bottles, this will give your sand a wavy look. Now take a small dab of either school glue of hot glue, replace the cork stopper, add the fuzzy felt at the top of the bottle, and glue on the Google eyes. Now your little sand art buddy is done and ready for your little guest to take him home.
