How to make Popcorn Cupcakes:

Ingredients

* 1 baked cupcake
* White icing
* 40 mini marshmallows (white or pastel yellow and white)
* Yellow food coloring (optional)
* Clean paintbrush
* Scissors
* White construction paper
* Blue and red markers

Instructions

1. Frost the cupcake with white icing. To create each piece of "popcorn," cut one mini marshmallow in half and squish the two pieces back together into a whole mini marshmallow, pinching firmly. Pile the finished popcorn onto the frosted cupcake.
2. For a buttery look, either dilute a drop of yellow food coloring in water and brush it on with a clean paintbrush or mix pastel yellow marshmallows in with the white.
3. To make the band, cut a strip of construction paper about 1 1/4 inches by 8 inches, or to fit your cupcake, and decorate as shown.
4. If you're creating many cupcakes, design just one band and color photocopy it. Wrap the band around the cupcake and secure with tape.

From FamilyFun Magazine

It's always fun to play games at baby showers. To go along with the About to Pop theme play a game of when pop stars were babies. Do a search for baby photos of pop stars and then create a poster with the baby photos labeling them a. b. c. etc. Each person will get a sheet with the letters listed and they must guess which pop star it is. You can put recent celebrity photos on a poster as well for a hint.

Everyone likes a party and the Fourth of July symbolizes the peak of summer fun.
Hosting a summer get together allow you to take full advantage of all that summer has to offer. Iced drinks, summer fruits, sweet corn, fresh salads and of course barbecue are just the staples

Water activities will aide in keeping your guest refreshed. Water balloons, pool fun and water guns will add to the excitement. Dads, older teens and even moms like to join in on the water play.
First things first, your invitations will begin setting the stage for your theme and adding to the atmosphere of summer fun. 4th of July invitations and decorations can be matched with fun streamers and party accessories.

Here are a couple of other fun ideas that will keep the party fresh throughout the day:

Bring the Carnival home
Summer fun also means county fairs. You can have a full day of carnival fun for the young and old alike. Balloon darts, cakewalks, and ring toss are just the beginning of a carnival atmosphere. A great place for ordering carnival party supplies and games is Party Outfitters. Don’t forget the prizes. If you want to have a good assortment of prizes Oriental Trading Company stocks some great items at affordable prices.

End with a big Bang
Evening activities can include backyard fireworks. While everyone is waiting for the darkness to fall, gather all the children around to create popcorn bags. Supply Festive stickers, white lunch bags and markers and crayons. Allow the children to decorate their own popcorn bags to be filled later with popcorn or other goodies to snack on during the fireworks show. Just before the fireworks fly, pop your popcorn and fill the kids treat bags. Be sure to make enough to pass around to adults also.
